Flag Day Celebration With the Boy Scouts

Wilsonville Oregon, June 14, 2018 Compatriots and Oregon SAR Color Guardsmen Bill Murray and Michael Tieman help the Boy Scouts retire the Colors. 550 old and damaged flags are retired at the Oregon Korean War Memorial in Wilsonville. Thanks for asking us to help.

Awards! Awards! Awards!

Beaverton, Oregon June 2, 2018 Today was a special Chapter meeting. It was the First Annual Awards Celebration. Today we gave out 31 chapter certificates to members from 5 years to one Compatriot Arlen Clark who has been a member for 30 years. The Certificates are for their years of service to the Chapter and their Community. At 18 years each is Neil Verigan (above left) and John Krumbein.

And to our special DAR ladies who have helped us this last year, we presented them with the SAR Appreciation Medal. Sue Proud (above left) and Corey Martin (above right).

Thanks to all and I look forward to next year. Maybe a dinner?

Our ongoing fundraising program is in conjunction with Wreaths Across America who have expanded its program to enable cemeteries all over the Country to place wreaths on individual veterans graves to emulate the Arlington Wreath Program.
