The American Revolutionary War Memorial

Remember Our Original Heroes

      The American Revolutionary War Memorial is designed to provide an educational and historical experience. The memorial will be located at the Beaverton Memorial Park, which pays tribute to all branches of the military and is a wonderful place for peaceful reflection.
     Visitors of the memorial will learn of the thirteen original colonies, touch the Declaration of Independence, and read the biographies of the Signers. Visitors may also view Washington crossing the Delaware in December 1776 and more.    
     The monument will be constructed on a concrete base in the form of a Maltese Cross, 40′ x 40′, and will be outlined by two rows of personalized donor bricks. The Maltese Cross is a symbol of protection and a badge of honor.

Two story walls, 8′ x 10′, made of Georgia Gray Granite will stand atop the base.
    Inset black laser engraved panels will be part of each wall.  One wall will consist of a historic rendering of George Washington crossing the Delaware River and a story that explains the scene. While on the opposite side of the wall a timeline will provide visitors with an historical account of the American Revolutionary War.  On the second wall, visitors will view a rendering of the famous, Spirit Of 76, fife and drum corps and a story explaining the scene.  On the opposite side of the wall visitors can discover who the signers of the Declaration of Independence were and read their biographies.

An obelisk, made of polished Mahogany Granite, will rise twelve feet above the memorial.  The obelisk is placed in remembrance of General George Washington and those who participated in the American Revolutionary War.  The Obelisk will be laser etched with the Sons of the American Revolution Logo on the facing side. Other dedications and recognitions on the remaining sides.

The original Thirteen Colonies will be represented by thirteen columnar benches. The benches will be placed along the edges of the Maltese Cross base. These benches will contain the names of the colonies, the names of the Signers from that colony and the name of the subscriber of that bench.  The cylinder-benches are made of Regal Red Granite.

The American Revolutionary War Memorial at Beaverton Memorial Park will provide for a unique

educational and historical experience. There is no other Revolutionary War Memorial west of the Mississippi River that offers the scope of experience and grandness that this memorial will provide.
